Whether you’re interested in the base trim or the Shelby GT500, the Ford Mustang delivers an exciting drive with its performance-inspired powertrains. It offers six engines, starting with a 2.3L EcoBoost® I-4 that gets up to 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. This engine works with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
To enjoy some extra power under the hood, there’s also a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine that will deliver up to 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. An available 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission comes with this engine and provides you with an efficient performance.
Aerodynamic Design
The Ford Mustang is available as either a coupe or a convertible. Both styles feature a bold, aerodynamic design with accent lines running down the frame as well as the iconic Mustang grille.
Each model offers excellent handling with a 107.1-inch wheelbase. Both the coupe and convertible are 188.5 inches long and 81.9 inches wide. This makes the Mustang highly maneuverable and lets it pull off a tight turning circle of only 36.5 feet.
Interior Dimensions
Both cloth and leather seats are available inside the Ford Mustang. Its cockpit offers space for up to four people with comfortable bucket seats. The coupe and convertible both have 45.1 inches of legroom up front. There’s only a slight difference in rear legroom. The coupe has 29 inches, while the convertible has 29.2 inches.
The Mustang convertible lets you feel the fresh outdoor air while you drive. The coupe has plenty of room to get comfortable with 37.6 inches of headroom up front and 34.8 inches of rear headroom.
SYNC® 3 Infotainment System
In the midst of its toggle switches, gauges, and push-button start, the Ford Mustang also offers a sleek touchscreen display. It’s equipped with SYNC® 3. This user-friendly infotainment system offers voice recognition, so you can control everything without taking your hands off the wheel.
It gives you lots of smartphone connectivity with Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay™, and Android Auto™. You can also find the fastest route to your destination with an available navigation system and enjoy lots of music through SiriusXM® Radio.
