Ford F-150 Engines

The Ford F-150 offers six dependable powertrains to choose from. Each one is built to get you and your cargo through difficult driving conditions. While the base engine works with a 6-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission, the remaining powertrains all come with a 10-speed SelectShift® automatic.

  • 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 that gets up to 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque
  • 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 that gets up to 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. 
  • 3.5L High-Output EcoBoost® that produces best-in-class 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque
  • 3.0L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel that gets up to 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque

2021 Ford F-150 TowingWith all that power under the hood, the Ford F-150 can haul everything you need. Its 13,200-pound towing capacity makes it easy to tow a trailer, bring a boat down to the Gulf, or carry a camper on your next family vacation.

No matter what you’re hauling, the F-150 makes sure towing is safe and easy for you, too. You can quickly lineup with your trailer using the Rear View Camera with Dynamic Hitch Assist. Once you’re on the road, Trailer Sway Control can keep everything level and in line with your truck.

You’ll also have a Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) with Trailer Coverage and Cross-Traffic Alert looking out for you. While it’ll help you change lanes, Pro Trailer Backup Assist can help you back up safely. By just turning a dial in the direction you want your trailer to go, your truck will automatically back it into place for you.

Ford F-150 Truck Beds & Cab Sizes

You can also load the truck bed up with lots of supplies. The Ford F-150 can handle a best-in-class payload of 3,270 pounds. It also offers three tough truck beds to choose from. All three are 65.2 inches wide and feature 21.4-inch walls.

The SuperCrew cab comes with a 5 ½-foot bed that offers 52.8 cubic feet of cargo room inside. The SuperCrew is also available with a 6 ½-foot bed. This option features 62.3 cubic feet of space and is available on both the Regular Cab and the SuperCab, too. The longest truck bed is 8 feet long. It’s also available on both the Regular Cab and the SuperCab. With this long bed, you’ll have 77.4 cubic feet of cargo room.
