When to Buy

There are a few different times throughout the year that are better for buying used cars.

The first, and probably most personal, is just when you need one. Sometimes our vehicles break down, and it’s time to get a new one, so you can keep your life moving. You can’t always help the time of year this happens. If you think your vehicle might be on its last legs, begin your research then, so you can take your time and find a car you love.

The best month to buy a used vehicle is December. It is not the only month you’ll get better deals or discounts, but it is one of the better ones. This is for two reasons: It is the end of the year, and it's winter. There are lots of year-end sales happening in December and closing the year with more sales is better.

Another good time to buy used is after new models come out. When manufacturers launch new models, those cars tend to sell. There will be an influx of trade-ins and older models returning from a lease. Since these trade-in models aren’t new/as new anymore, you might save some money.
