2022 Ford Maverick Preview

Three trim levels. Ten vibrant color schemes. An available moonroof. Each Ford Maverick model is expected to shatter the expectations of drivers who may not otherwise enjoy the luxuries of a truck.

For instance, the compact truck’s cockpit will deliver a powerful set of amenities to enhance the driving experience. An 8-way power driver’s seat is expected to be an optional feature, alongside ActiveX™ Desert Brown bucket seats, and even ambient lighting to set the mood.

Plus, with the help of SYNC® 3, the touchscreen display can bring your entertainment with you. Both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility will come standard, and an available 8-speaker B&O® Sound System by Bang & Olufsen® should bring high-quality tunes to each drive.

Drive a Standard Hybrid Truck

The Ford Maverick will serve as the first-ever standard full hybrid pickup truck upon its release. There will be two engine types available—the standard 2.5L full hybrid engine and the available 2.0L EcoBoost® engine. The standard engine option includes a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for smooth handling and shifting.

If you choose the latter engine option, you can enjoy up to 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Drivers may also want to consider the optional Trailer Tow Package. When properly equipped with this system, you can tow up to 4,000 pounds. Plus, with available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, maneuvering slick and uneven roads will be a breeze.

Take Your Stuff with You

You may be a camper, worker, hauler, or even just someone who needs extra space. Whatever you may be, the 4.5-foot FLEXBED™ will pack your journey with the same intelligent compactness felt around the rest of the truck.

The FLEXBED™ makes it easy to add a variety of storing options, like a bike rack, a multi-divider, or a single divider. Customization is at the forefront of the forthcoming Maverick—and it’s expected to showcase that from the get-go.

Additionally, the bed should offer an available 110V outlet. If you go with this option, you can expect to use it for things like powering your cooler, charging your phone, or juicing any other compatible device on the go.
