From its capable 4-wheel drive to its convenient fuel economy, the 2021 Ford EcoSport offers a dependable drive that’ll help you make fewer stops for gas. It lives up to its namesake with a 1.0L EcoBoost® I-4 engine that gets up to an EPA-estimated 27 city/29 highway MPG.
This sporty powertrain also offers a fun drive with 123 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. To manage that power, the base engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. With that kind of performance, you’ll be able to tow up to 1,400 pounds.
If you’d like a little more horsepower under the hood, you can go with a 2.0L 4-cylinder instead. It gets up to 166 horsepower and 149 lb-ft of torque and features Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT), so you’ll still get an efficient performance. An Intelligent 4WD System also comes standard on this powertrain. With the extra power and 4WD, you’ll be able to tow up to 2,000 pounds. That’ll help you hitch a larger trailer to your SUV or bring a boat to down to the lake or the Gulf of Mexico.
Comfy & Convenient Cabin
One of the first things you’ll notice about the 2021 Ford EcoSport is that it gives you a fun, alternate way to pack up. Instead of a traditional tailgate, it features a rear swinging gate that opens like an extra door. Once you’re inside, you can load lots of bags, and fold down the backseats if you need to pack more.
